H&Y Infinite Open Table Sessions 24 (Literally Kidnapping)

The party decides to do Rolof's job, heading south through Skybreaker Pass to disappear "rescue" young Maximus Redmountain. Phil has an audience with Lord Megara, her distant auntie and current heir to the Redmountain Clan. Megara suggests that Phil head to the Redmountain Tourney in Mon Skirt on the 25th of Autumn. The party stays at Skybreaker Stronghold for the night under the hospitality of Lord Megara (it is important to note that the estranged child the party is being sent to kidnap is indeed Lord Megara's).
Summer 81-82, 6023
The party heads south into the pass proper and eventually finds the backwoods militia complex full of the splinter faction. Phil decides to do a bit of espionage and sneaks in, disguising herself as a prospective recruit. Xavos and Flamagio and Eclair hang back, with a plan to dig in through the bottom of the stronghold using Eclair's digging claws. Eclair starts digging immediately, figuring that she'll need the time to get a tunnel all the way to the inside of the fort, even with her magic digging claws. Flamagio starts scrying on Phil after determining that he can continue the spell as long as he concentrates until the next sunrise.
Phil meets the leader of the militia, Captain Olson. She's placed in a newbie squad and issued gear (adamantine sword and shield), told to stand on watch. While getting the tour, Phil spots a gnomish smith at the forge (Ansgar Thriceforged) and learns that there may be some stone giant allies assisting the militia. She also learns about a heavily guarded part of the complex housing strange orcish priests (a bit of a misnomer since the gods don't answer orcs in H&Y) and officer's quarters, s
Summer 83, 6023
Regular Phil sneaks out of bed in the middle of the night and signals the party from within the complex's storeroom. Eclair digs up and meets with Phil, reuniting the party. The whole party digs north underneath the complex, coming up in the secret wing that Phil found earlier. Eclair attempts to picklock a nearby locked door, snapping her knife and putting her at 2 abject failures out of 2 total picklocking attempts.
The PCs find a nearby sleeping guard and Phil casts Amber Prism on him, encasing him in a block of amber. Xavos moves the block of amber to block entrance to the rest of the secret wing and Eclair busts down the locked door with her digging claws. The party rushes inside the locked room, steals the sleeping orc child and escapes out through the tunnel. They have a tense but ultimately uneventful run through the mountains once they resurface, eventually finding themselves back in Skybreaker Pass as the sun is coming up.
The party doesn't want to go back through the border keep with the kid, because they want to get the bonus from Rolof for "disappearing" Maximus (this would obviously be difficult if his mother Lord Megara were to see him). Phil works with a passing merchant to procure a wagon large enough to hide her friends beneath, allowing the party to slip past the guards at the keep and back to Circlebrook.
Summer 84, 6023
The party gets back to Circlebrook. They don't actually want to kill the orc princeling so they send him away to hide at Fort Venigni under the watchful eye of Lord Vincent. They get the full amount + bonus from Rolof.
