H&Y Infinite Open Table Session 28 (Rustrock)

Autumn 14, 6023
Gelig Nar's warning fresh on their minds, the PCs head west from Begblueton to see if they can find allies at the nearby town of Rustrock. They pass a file of soldiers heading east from there flying the flag of Sedgeport. The party converses with the soldiers and asks them to help the town of Begblueton with their bulette problem, hoping that the presence of the soldiers will at least allow the townsfolk to harvest their fields once more. The soldiers agree and point them towards their commander in Rustrock, Captain Nektarios.
The party continues onwards and reaches the rocky town of Rustrock where they find many elevated houses built into the cliffs. They quickly find the barracks of the Sedgeport soldiers as well as the tavern and local temple.
Mash introduces himself and the rest of the party to Captain Nektarios, finding that the man is Evil due to his (Mash's) aura sight from his demonic pact with the demon Andromalius. The captain agrees to have his men help the town of Begblueton and sends a messenger to catch up with his soldiers marching east. He also offers the guest wing of his mansion to the party as a place for them to stay while they are in town.
Tanzy talks to the locals and learns that they're a sect of elven hunters that use stilts and magic tattoos to hunt bulettes. Tanzy talks to Gudrun, the lead huntress, and learns more of their tattoos, finding that they're powered by the local priesthood who make sacrifices to demons.
The party join Captain Nektarios and his wife Wilja for dinner. They're convinced that the two are vampires by their pale demeanor, seemingly small appetites, and Mash's aura sight.
Autumn 15th, 6023
Tanzy and the rest of the party go along with Gudrun and her hunters on a bulette hunt. They make their own stilts based on the guidance of the hunters. The hunt is successful and Gudrun dedicates the kill to her patron demon in a special ritual. The party returns to town and spends another night at the house of Captain Nektarios.
Autumn 16th, 6023
The party takes the stilts they made yesterday and travels out into the Sea of Grass to learn what the Bulette Graveyard is after hearing about it so much from the townsfolk of Begblueton and Rustrock. They find a massive spiral pit mine dug by dying bulettes, who flock to the area. In the middle of the spiral is a pit pointing straight down into the Underworld, with strange magic wisps spiraling out from the hole every so often to dissipate into the air.
One look at the graveyard is enough to tell the party that they should come back another day and they return to Rustrock.
